May 2025 - Updates

It's about that time again, and I figure the biggest change should be outlined immediately. I'm going to be leaving Instagram, and likely all Meta owned platforms really soon.

Some may see boycotts as needless, but as someone who made a home on Bluesky versus seeing nothing but seemingly auto generated arguments every time I opened threads, giving up on Meta doesn't really affect me too much. The account will remain locked while I try to link up with everyone across other platforms I am on (Bluesky, Newgrounds, etc).

Video wise, I have a shortish script being worked on for a video about tokusatsu and my experiences with getting into the medium. I've been also toying as to when I'll get a chance to create the Initial D video, reusing an older script for a Kamen Rider Ryuki video, among other topics.

How would people feel about me talking about fighting games in an edited format by the way? I've been getting into Virtua Fighter a lot...

Podcast wise, I recorded an episode with Belsheber Rusape Jr and my cohost ArteiceTB, and it was really enjoyable! Probably the funniest episode I've done thus far, and an epsiode I also did with a new recording system using the Craig bot for Discord. I'm going to see if this helps streamline my recording process.

I'm also going to be introducing a side show, likely using the same RSS feed, tentatively called KashCast B-Sides. Instead of focusing on interviewing creators, I'd like this format to be dedicated to having a guest have a long form discussion on a singular topic and seeing where it goes from there. Potentially some more serious topics could be talked about with this format as well, but we'll see. It also makes this format more accessible for friends of the show that aren't necessarily creatives, or who wouldn't benefit much from an interview format.

I'll be on vacation later this month so I won't be able to have many creative updates while I try to organize myself and step back from making things. I hope that I'll be more refreshed once I come back. No telling how often I can update ya'll on my art but this mentorship has been helping me draw (or at least sketch) more often, and I hope I can build myself back up to drawing more imaginatively.

Thanks for the support, everyone!
